A Spartan Trailer, your rich friend’s version of a tandem bicycle, is making its debut at Circuit of the Americas this week.
The US Grand Prix is drawing big names like Elton John, Public Enemy, and Trombone Shorty to the Austin area this weekend. With the Circuit of the Americas being the only U.S. F1 track, there’s no shortage of people willing to plunk down a few bucks to make the experience a memorable one with big wigs coming in from around the world to get a glimpse of the action here in ATX.
The fanfare isn’t just limited to the track though. Companies are spending big bucks to entertain at this one-of-a-kind event. Zenoss, the Austin-based maker of open-source application, server and network management software, has has resurrected a 1954 Spartan Trailer to show off.
The beast is 39’ long, 61 years old, and is outfitted with two couches, a full bar and a couple of flat screens – in other words, much nicer than your apartment. Don't believe me? Check out the inside:
If you’ve got friends at Zenoss, I’d call them now. They’ve got the best setup we’ve heard of and word is there’ll be ribs.
