Yesterday, one concerned resident used the City of Boston’s Citizens Connect app to send the following photograph of what appears to be an ox with a description saying, “graffiti high up on side of printing press building that fence sure is a handy step ladder. thanks.”

Luckily, the smart people over in City Hall quickly responded to the message and solved the problem with the following message: “Case Resolved. This is not graffiti . it is a picture of an animal.”

Ohhhhhh, thanks for clarifying. We were confused.

You have to wonder if the “concerned” resident was actually trying to play a prank on city officials by sending in a picutre of a farm animal. However, it seems more likely that he simply uploaded the wrong photograph from his iPhone, in a true #firstworldproblems fashion.

The award-winning Citizens Connect app allows Bostonians to use their smartphones to send reports and photographs of issues that need to be addressed across the city like potholes and graffiti.
