Apparently, someone had a sly message for Wes Welker after his missed catch on Sunday night. According to their Twitter, Pawngo, a Denver-based online pawn shop, dropped off thousands of Butterfinger bars in mockery of Welker’s incomplete Super Bowl catch.

Hahahahahha. Wait, no one’s actually laughing.

Pawngo sent the following tweets earlier today, alluding to the candy delivery:

Brilliant publicity stunt by Pawngo? Normally, I’d say yes, but they literally just alienated all of New England as potential customers with this move. It’s OK, we know they’re still hurting from the Broncos AFC Championship loss. Better luck next year, Denver.

Updated 2:15pm: Pawngo is now pointing people in the direction of their PR firm, 5W Public Relations, which (surprise, surprise) is based in New York City.
