Seinfeld fans: We did it! We have succeeded in bringing the Soup Nazi to Boston!

Last month, actor Larry Thomas, who operates the Seinfeld Food truck, ran a campaign to bring his truck to Boston, asking fans to show their support by racking up the most “likes” on the Soup For Boston Facebook page.

On July 3, the following message was posted on the Facebook page, declaring that the Soup Nazi will make an appearance in Boston sometime this summer:

It’s official: Sony Pictures Television is bringing the Seinfeld food truck to Boston this summer! They’re partnering with myTV38, Boston’s home for Seinfeld weeknights at 6 & 11, to bring the Soup Nazi to the Hub. Thanks to all our fans, justice will finally be served … with a spoon. Now it’s up to you to decide WHERE the truck should go. Let us know here on Facebook or on Twitter @SoupForBoston (#SoupForBoston).

The date is set for Friday, August 3.

Suggestions for where the truck should be stationed have already flooded in, mentioning places like Boston Common, the Prudential Center, the Charlestown Navy Yard and the Theater District. The BostInno team would like to submit our vote for Faneuil Hall… you know, so the tourists have a chance at some Seinfeld-themed food. OK, and maybe our office is conveniently located in Faneuil Hall, too.
