Boston based Nanigans has just been named a Strategic Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD) by Facebook. According to a release, this exclusive program provides Nanigans access to Facebook alpha and beta products, co-development of product planning and go-to-market strategies, improved business support, and priority access to Facebook product and engineering teams. There were 11 other companies included – Adobe, AdParlor, Alchemy Social/Techlightenment, Brand Networks, Glow, GraphEffect, Kenshoo, Salesforce, SocialCode, Spruce Media and 77 Agency

“We’re honored to be named a Strategic Preferred Marketing Developer, the highest distinction of excellence Facebook has offered to its marketing developers,” shared Ric Calvillo, co-founder and CEO of Nanigans. “We look forward to continuing to develop software that maximizes value from the Facebook advertising ecosystem, helping our advertising partners measure and optimize their Facebook ad spend for lifetime customer value.”

Nanigans takes Facebook ad campaigns a step further by actually focusing on gaining customers and not clicks. Their algorithms automate the entire process optimizing ad spend to reach and convert high-value customers, as opposed to just bidding for placement that gets you the cheapest clicks. Getting a click doesn’t mean someone is going to actually convert and install your app, register for an email list, spend money with you, etc. Nanigans focus is on the true ROI of your Facebook campaign.

Nanigans is one of Boston’s fastest growing startups, has about 70 employees in three offices (Boston, NYC & San Fran) and recently poached a 10 year Yahoo veteran. As we reported earlier this year, Nanigans manages 9-figures of Facebook Ad spend annually and averages over 2 billion Facebook Ad impressions per day.

Perhaps a Facebook acquisition target?
