Travel planning company TripAdvisor has acquired the social travel site Wanderfly, according to a statement by the company. Based in Brooklyn, Wanderfly offers a highly visual and personalized travel planning experience. The company raised a $1 million Series A in February of last year.

“The Wanderfly team understands the value in social travel planning,” said Steve Kaufer, co-founder and CEO TripAdvisor, in the statement. “They’re a great asset as we continue our developments in this area and I am delighted to welcome them to TripAdvisor.”
