Wegmans lovers, rejoice! In a meeting on Monday, Mayor Menino announced that the popular grocery store Wegmans will be coming to Fenway’s Landmark Center, reports the Boston Herald.

The New York based grocery store chain opened its first Massachusetts location in Northborough in 2011, and it was met with an extremely warm welcome from grocery store lovers across the Bay State. Today’s announcement of a Wegmans in Fenway was no difference, as evidenced by fanatics on Twitter (see Storify below).

There are no details yet on what the Landmark Center Wegmans will entail, but if it is anything like the one in Northborough, here’s some of what we can expect.

The Northborough Wegmans spans two football fields, or about 138,000 square feet, and hold the title for biggest supermarket in New England. The grocery store boats a sushi bar, liquor store, cheese shop, chicken wings bar, 300-seat café and 31 checkout lanes, making it an absolutely stellar paradise for food-lovers.

We’ll update this story as we learn more. For now, check out this delicious slideshow of all Wegmans has to offer below.
