Charles Ramsey was minding his own business, enjoying his typical American dinner when he heard Amanda Berry screaming next door. He never expected to uncover three missing women cases that have plagued Cleveland for a decade, all in one house. The WEWSTV YouTube account posted the video of the interview they conducted with Charles Ramsey, in which he sheds light on what was going through his mind throughout the entire ordeal. In a scary revelation of how even the most sociopathic people can live among us as as suitable citizens, Ramsey notes how he barbecued with the suspect, ate ribs with him, and enjoyed salsa music with him.

According to Ramsey,

“I heard screaming. I’m eating my McDonalds. I come outside and I see this girl going nuts trying to get out of a house. So I go on the porch and she says ‘Help me get out, I’ve been here a long time.’ So, you know, I figured its a domestic violence dispute.”

Ramsey then freed Berry who proceeded to use his phone to dial 9-1-1. Naturally and admittedly so, Ramsey didn’t recognize Berry or her name at first but when she asked for the phone, Ramsey put two and two together.

The real moment, though, Ramsey knew something was wrong was when “a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway. Dead giveaway. Deeaaadddd giveaway.”

Ramsey has only been living in the Cleveland neighborhood for about a year and not once suspected something was going on next door. Luckily for us, his instincts kicked in and he was able to help three young women who have been held against their will for far too long. I’m terrified to think of what could have transpired had Charles Ramsey not put down hid Big Mac, and now consider him a national hero.
