While each day brings the Xbox one release date closer, Microsoft yesterday announced the price of ints Kinect controller for its next-generation gaming console. The Xbox One is scheduled for a November release and is expected to cost $499, but for those looking to purchase an extra Kinect controller it’ll cost an additional $74.99.

Of course, gamers will have the option of purchasing a regular wireless Xbox One controller for $59.99 but for an extra $15, the Xbox faithful will be rewarded with a Play and Charge Kit for the optimum gaming experience.

An interesting thing to note is that the Microsoft store, where Xbox one and other Microsoft goodies are available for purchase online, gives both the Kinect with Play and Charge Kit as well as the Xbox One wireless controller December 31 release dates. We know the Xbox 360’s successor is to debut in November some time, but it looks as though the entire console and accessories could be consumer available on December 31.

For those unaware of what the Kinect entails, here’s a quick rundown. Kinect syncs with an action-recognition camera attached to the actual console to recognize user movement. The motion-sensing 1080p camera lens understands joint rotations, balance and weight distribution, and even reads the user’s heart beat which of course will be great for using Xbox One for exercise, but it also bolsters the fact that motion-detection for navigating the One will be silky smooth.

Using what Microsoft dubs Snap Mode,  The Kinect cam allows for group video calls on TV using Skype integration. When the notification appears on the top of the screen, all the user has to do is say “Answer call” and Snap Mode will run, splitting the screen between whatever entertainment the user is currently engaged in as well as your Skype call.
