With World Series Game 6 tickets on StubHub going for $770 and up, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to snag a seat to tonight’s game last-minute. But don’t worry, you can still get pretty close to the game, even if you’re stuck outside of the Green Monster. Here’s a quick roundup of things you should know for viewing the first World Series Game 6 at Fenway since 1975, and places you should check out to get as close to the action as possible.

Weather

The forecast calls for temperatures in the low 40s with a 10% chance of rain. Throw a Sox sweatshirt over that Sox jersey and bring an umbrella because this is Massachusetts, after all, and you can never be too prepared to get stuck in an unexpected downpour.

Suit up

If you’re in need of new Red Sox gear, stop by the Marshalls in Fenway, which will may be selling select items cheaper than the vendors on Yawkey Way.

Also, in an effort to up security, Boston law enforcement will be preventing those without tickets from entering the Fenway-Kenmore area after the 7th inning, so plan accordingly.

Places that get you closest to the game without tickets:

The Bleacher Bar

You can’t get closer to the game  without actually being inside the stadium than Fenway’s Bleacher Bar. The field-level window will put you arguably closer to the action than if you managed to snag some tickets. However, when the bar is busy (which it undoubtedly will be tonight) there’s a wait list for the seats in front of the window. The Bleacher Bar does not take reservations on game days either, so if you want prime seating, get there very early (seriously, leave now).

Jerry Remy’s

The sports bar’s roof deck will be open this evening, allowing attendees a view of the Monster from their perch above the street. The bar also has multiple TV’s, making viewing the game easy.

When we called, the restaurant said it is not taking anymore reservations this evening, and will be closing its doors at the beginning of the 5th inning.

The Baseball Tavern:

Across the street from Jerry Remy’s is a second rooftop bar option. The bar also offers views of the Green Monster as well as a bar and dance area downstairs.

Tasty Burger

Get closest to the flavors of Fenway here. If you feel like upgraded ballpark fare , head to Tasty Burger for a burger, a hot dog and/or a beer. The casual restaurant has indoor seating, a bar with a TV, and stays open until 2 a.m.

Virtually Any Apartment Building Within a Mile Radius of the Park

Lastly, the obvious choice. It’s time to call that friend you have with the clutch apartment. And roof access. Pile on the layers, grab some binoculars, stop by the liquor store and make the trek. Extra perks: hearing the impressive stadium roar from a distance and avoiding the crowds.
