For those who haven’t heard, the Red Sox World Series duck boat rolling rally will take place Saturday, departing from Fenway Park at 10 a.m. to proceed down Bolyston Street and end in the dirty water of the Charles River. As you can understand, the City of Boston is expecting a staggering turnout for the celebration and therefore has some traffic notice you’ll do well to consider.

The City released a press release noting that in order to accommodate the parade and the likely steep influx of Red Sox Nation bystanders, all streets along the route starting at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m will be closed. Also keep in mind along with the closing of roadways, parking will be restricted along the parade route as well as on several nearby streets starting at midnight Friday.

But don’t fret, people. City officials are making a strong push for those who plan on attending to come by way of the MBTA, despite how, to put it nicely, unpredictable it can be.

So for those looking to make their plans a day in advance with the knowledge of which passages and parking spaces will be off-limits, I strongly suggest reading and heeding to what the city press release has to say, as it’ll probably save you a headache or two and keep you out of stop-and-go traffic.

In the meantime, be sure to share where you hope to set up shop along the route to see the Sox roll by as well as any other related plans in the comments section below.
