Those of you familiar with the divine North End pop-up eatery, Whisk, would agree with me that although the restaurant is uprooting soon, there’s no doubt that they came, they cooked, and they conquered. And with a little planning, will most likely be popping up elsewhere in the Boston area soon (wishin’ and hopin’ over here).

But until that time comes, I recommend heading to the pop-up while it’s still standing in the North End. Not only is the cozy restaurant currently decked out in festive holiday decor, but it’s also serving up some of the best food in Boston. With a tasting menu that changes daily, each ingredient is as fresh as can possibly be while also ensuring that you’ll never have the same meal twice.

The last tasting menu I enjoyed at Whisk served up several dishes that I particularly loved. We started our tasting dinner with beets, which included ricotta salata, lemon caramel, caraway yogurt and pine nuts. Delish.

Another one of my favorites was the quail dish (below) which included a spiced quail breast, black trumpet stuffing and carrots. It was most certainly love at first bite. And don’t even get me started on the clams they served with Nantucket bay scallops… okay I’ll stop (only because I’m making myself hungry).

But seriously, I’ve never had a bad meal at this cute restaurant on Hanover and I hope (for your own sake) that you can experience it this year. It looks as though the tasting menu restaurant will only remain open at 351 Hanover Street until the end of the year.

We’ll have to wait and see where it pops up next. But one thing’s for sure – this little restaurant is shaking up the Boston restaurant scene in a big way.
