When it comes to Super Bowl Sunday, there are two camps of people out there: Some who watch the game for the love of football (and the advertisements) – and those who only (or at least, mostly) care about the halftime show performances.

For many, the Super Bowl Halftime show has become the main event itself. And the same can also be said for the Puppy Bowl’s Kitty Halftime show. Animal Planet’s own version of the Super Bowl, where adorable pups go paw-to-paw in a dog-eat-dog game – followed up by an excessively cute, kitten-filled halftime show.

But which is more entertaining (really?) – that’s up for debate in this week’s This vs. That.

The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show

First of all, it’s pretty hard to top Beyonce.

So that being said – let’s look at the lineup. We’ve got Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers taking the stage at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show. And I have to hand it to them – this will certainly be a popular lineup. Considering that Bruno Mars just won a Grammy, with many of his songs reaching No. 1 on the charts, the singer is sure to be a hit with viewers … except for those who are not exactly pop fans. But that’s where the Red Hot Chili Peppers come in – one of the most popular bands in the world – to give viewers some real rock-and-roll.

But while this halftime lineup is certainly celeb-filled – I wonder if the mix of Bruno Mars music combined with the very different style of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ is, quite frankly, strange. Plus – once again – it’ll be hard to top Beyonce’s performance from last year.

The Puppy Bowl’s Kitty Halftime show

Each year, the Puppy Bowl features a “Kitty Halftime” show, and this year is no exception. It usually just consists of cute kitties playing and swiping cat toys on the field. But this year’s Kitty Halftime show will feature none other than “Karaoke Cat.” Note: the original Karaoke Cat died – but has been replaced by YouTube sensation Lil Bub.

Uproxx also reports that “30 kittens will perform a domino topple and one little daredevil will make a grand entrance by parachuting onto the field. The Puppy Bowl has also drafted cheerleader penguins for the sidelines.” Oh, we’ll be watching.

Winner: The Puppy Bowl’s Kitty Halftime Show… obviously

Because we want to see a cat sing right meow!
