Super Bowl Sunday is fast approaching, and that means it’s time to start planning your weekend football viewing party. But unless you plan on staying in and watching from home, you’re going to need a game plan – ASAP.  Meaning, plenty of high-definition TVs for viewing, tailgating fare galore and (obviously) enough libations to get you through your Sunday.

Fortunately, plenty of Boston-area restaurant and bars will be hosting viewing parties, special deals and discounts around town. Here’s where to watch the game this weekend in Boston.

BOKX 109

If you’re looking to tailgate in Newton, come down to BOKX109, which will be serving up a “Tailgate in a BOKX” package at the bar while the game is played. It’s described in a release as “an over-the-top package featuring your favorite arena foods without the stadium-sized pricetag, the ‘Tailgate in a BOKX’ is $15 per person for two beef sliders, a corn dog, onion rings, French fries, mustard, truffled ketchup, and a bottled beer of choice to enjoy in the ideal game day setting.”

Also, 98.5 The Sports Hub “will be handing out prizes, including lift tickets to New England’s top ski resorts and autographed Patriots merchandise. The first 50 guests also will receive a copy of the official Super Bowl XLVII game program,” as noted in a release.

There will also be Tailgate Platters available (BBQ Beef Brisket, BBQ Chicken, Baby Back Ribs or BBQ Pork – pick any two – $18; pick any three – $26).
