Happy Chinese New Year, Boston!

Today officially marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year, also referred to as the Lunar New Year. And with the start of 2014, also comes the Year of the Horse.

This two week celebration welcomes greater wealth, improved health and the strengthening of relationships in the new lunar year. Fortunately for Bostonians, our bustling Chinatown is alive and thriving with plenty of culture and traditions.

Soon, the streets of Chinatown will be swarming with ornate costumes, decorations and this year’s Chinatown Lion Dance Parade. But besides the main event, there are a number of ways you can celebrate in Boston. Because, why not? It’s officially 2014 and that’s reason enough to dance in the streets and ring in the new year once and for all.
