When one thinks of Super Bowl Sunday, football is, of course, the first thing that comes to mind. Unless you’re a decidedly non-sports fan, you might get distracted by the other goings-on of game day. Namely: Food, Ads and Halftime.

But fashion is pretty far out of the loop, unless you consider knock-off Walmart jerseys the new sporty chic. This year, however, philanthropy, high fashion and football all collided when Bloomingdale’s launched ‘Fashion Touchdown,’ along with The Council of Fashion Designers of America, asking 48 different designers to create a haute-couture football helmet that you definitely wouldn’t find on the field.

If you’ve got some extra cash kicking around, you can bid for your favorite helmet on NFL.com up until February 4, with the designer digs currently going for anywhere between $200 and $2200. All of the auction’s proceeds will benefit the NFL Foundation.
