Enough with House of Cards, already. After yesterday’s snowstorm and this week’s walloping, you’ve probably watched enough Netflix to last you through several seasons of your favorite shows. And unless you plan on shoveling your sidewalk all day, you’ll need some excuse to put down that remote and actually leave the house (finally).

Enter: Brunch.

A perfectly acceptable reason to get out and avoid oncoming cabin fever. And fortunately for us, one of Boston’s best brunch spots, MET Back Bay, is changing up their menu for the better, with their recent debut of new sweet and savory brunch fare.

It’s Tipsy Time — Here are the Brunch Buzz Deets

When

MET Back Bay serves brunch Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 a.m. and lasting through 3:30 p.m.

Where

The brunch spot is located at 279 Dartmouth Street in Back Bay. The restaurant occupies a historic and lovely brick townhouse.

What to Eat

MET Back Bay’s new brunch menu includes sweet fare such as: Nutella Stuffed French Toast with caramelized bananas and salted caramel sauce – as well as an endless stack of Pancakes, classic, multi-grain or buttermilk, with choice of cinnamon streusel or red, white and blue.

The newest Savory options include: The Breakfast Carbonara with double smoked bacon, parmesan cheese topped with a poached egg – as well as new breakfast sandwiches such as the Truffled Croque Madame with artisanal ham, gruyere, fried egg and truffle fries with sage, and “The Cure” with pork belly, fried egg, kimchi, Thai chilis, cilantro and sririacha mayo on a griddled bun.

The Brunch Buzz Drink

You’ll never have the same brunch drink twice with MET Back Bay’s signature “Craft Mary” menu. The choices include over 13,000 Bloody Mary combinations – including that mini burger garnish (above). Yum.

Happy brunching, everyone!
