Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is taking tremendous strides in highlighting the initiatives and priorities of his new administration. The mantra of his overall agenda has been “transparency,” a theme he adopted while blazing the campaign trail. And for the past 50 days, Mayor Walsh has held himself to the highest standard in achieving and conveying that message.

The mayor’s office, in coordination with the New Urban Mechanics, released a short video Tuesday (see: below) aptly dubbed “The First 50 Days,” a follow-up to the highly successful clip “The First 25 Days.” Hoping to periodically give Bostonians more insight into the endeavors and growing list of accomplishments by the mayor and his constituents, it’s likely that they’ll be pumping out these short, easily-digestible clips in systematic increments.

If nothing else the video of his first 50 days in City Hall has been a montage of public appearances and events, a sure sign that Mayor Walsh is getting out in Boston’s various neighborhoods and connecting with residents at the street-level to the best of his ability.

He’s also taken it upon himself to venture to each of the 135 Boston Public Schools in hopes of figuring out the issues plaguing the city’s early learning centers to make Boston, the premiere municipality for education at all levels.

Mayor Walsh has trekked to new Boston developments with his newly appointed economic development chief John Barros, toured startup accelerator MassChallenge and proclaimed it his intention to make Boston “the tech capital of the world.” He’s taken to social media in order to better connect with ever-connected millennials and discussed infrastructure issues like transportation, snow removal and an extended nightlife.

“How do we allow an opportunity for nightlife to stay open later and at some point turn off the keg… I’ve been there,” joked Mayor Walsh.

Be sure to check out the video above and let us know what you think of the production, and more importantly the progression of Mayor Walsh and his administration thus far, in the comments section below. In the meantime, stay tuned to BostInno for the latest news stemming from City Hall.
