Well, it looks like the MBTA’s late night service is off to a good start. Judging from the city’s reaction on social media, not only did people actually ride the T (use it or lose it, y’all), but people had mostly all good things to say about it. From Twitter users thankful for a safe and fast ride home after 2 a.m., to restaurant staff grateful for the chance to take the train home after a late shift, appreciation poured in on social media for the new late night service. The best reaction of all? “I could get used to this.”

And hopefully, we can. As long as the excitement for late night T service doesn’t wane after its introduction, it looks like we’re in good shape. Of course, word of drunken near-fights and late night slumberers on the train also filled in with the positive feedback, but hey, we’ll get used to it.

If you were sleeping last night during the extended hours (like me…), here’s what late night on the MBTA looks like via Twitter. Let’s keep it up – take advantage of the T’s new service!
