Busy Bostonians don’t have time for a long drawn-out lunch. In fact, many of us skip that lunch hour altogether, opting to eat at our desk instead. But if we’re being honest, those sad desk salads also prevent us from meeting new people and networking our way up the ladder.

Enter the “power lunch.” A work lunch that not only fills you up but also allows you to network with the right people. The best power lunches offer great food (that you won’t get stuck in your teeth), a “who’s who” environment, and will send you on your merry way (back to work) in a short period of time.

Thankfully, one of Boston’s own restaurants topped Worth magazine’s list of the best power lunch restaurants in America. Chef Ming Tsai’s Blue Dragon restaurant in Fort Point came in at number five on the list of best power lunch restaurants in the country.

And we can certainly see why. The restaurant serves up lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and “lunch to-go” from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a menu that includes Banh Mi, dim sum, hot sandwiches, noodles and more.

Worth also claims that the Asian Gastropub’s busy lunch tends to be filled with “entrepreneurs, architects and designers,” making it a prime networking spot. But since I haven’t experienced a work day lunch at Blue Dragon for myself, I can’t say (for certain) that’s the case. We’ll have to assume it is though, given its Fort Point location.
