Boston College, the second-seeded team in college hockey’s culminating tournament, fell to Union in the Frozen Four by a 5-4 final. It was a back and forth game filled with highlights, with B.C. mustering a series of late chances that ultimately came up just short. No doubt they will rue several missed oppurtunities on offense, and a few crucial slip-ups on defense. Of course, having won three National Championships since 2008, all is not lost. Union, blocking shots and adding timely offense, were deserving winners.

A poor turnover from B.C. led to Union scoring their fourth goal (making it 4-2), adding crucial insurance:

Boston College pulled their goalie down two goals, and it seemed to produce results, as they made it 4-3 briefly:

The goalie-pull backfired for B.C. after it seemed they had avoided a scary moment. Daniel Ciampini of Union chased the rebound, and completed his hat trick, making it 5-3:

Still, B.C. didn’t give up, notching a fourth goal with seconds remaining, making it 5-4:
