Vice President Joe Biden will speak at tribute ceremony in Boston on April 15 that will honor those affected by last year’s Boston Marathon bombings.

Biden will join a host of others including Governor Deval Patrick, Mayor Marty Walsh, former mayor Mayor Tom Menino, Boston Athletic Association Executive Director Tom Grilk, as well as marathon bombing survivors, all scheduled to speak next Tuesday inside Hynes Convention Center at 900 Boylston St.

In February, the BAA announced plans for the April 15 tribute. The event will not be open to the public.

Speeches and musical performances are scheduled to begin at noon inside Hynes Convention Center, which will be followed by a flag raising ceremony at the Boston Marathon Finish Line on Boylston St.

A brief moment of silence will be held at the flag-raising, scheduled to take place between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
