Chag Pesach Sameach! The eight day-long Jewish holiday of Passover starts tonight, April 14, at sundown with the traditional dinner ritual called a “seder.”

Seder customs include telling the story of the first Passover, drinking four cups of wine, eating matzah (unleavened bread), laying out symbolic foods in the center of the table on a special seder plate, reclining in celebration of freedom, and enjoying a large meal with friends and family. The prayers, songs and stories are read from a traditional book called a “haggadah.”

The folks over at Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP), Boston’s Jewish Federation, are the minds behind Jewish resource website JewishBoston.com, a one-stop cyber spot for helping young adults and young families celebrate Jewish holidays and be involved in the city’s Jewish community. They’ve created an online center to cater to all of your Passover needs, including a free downloadable Haggadah mobile app to make your seder tech savvy and paper-free.

Most exciting, the website teamed up with bar manager, Naomi Levy, over at Eastern Standard to bring you “The Four Cocktails.” In honor of the celebratory four cups of wine enjoyed throughout the course of a seder, these cocktails were crafted with the spirit and traditions of the holiday in mind. Check out the recipes below, and add these to your Passover celebrations this week.
