Don’t be surprised if you see chefs cooking their way through the Hub this spring. The Boston Globe is reporting that the popular show, Top Chef, will be filming its 12th season in Boston. The show is set to film this spring and will air in the fall.

Eater Boston also reported via a Bravo press release that Shari Levine, SVP of Current Production, claimed that “‘Boston has always been at the top of [their] wish list…not only because of its rich historical significance, but also because of its robust and ever-growing culinary scene.’”

The Boston Globe reports that the 12th season of the Bravo show will once again feature “host Padma Lakshmi and judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons, and will film here this spring and early summer.” According to the network senior vice president of production, “the cast and crew will film all over the city and at the coast,” reports the Boston Globe.

Possible settings will include Fenway Park and Plimoth Plantation. No surprise there. The Boston Globe also mentions that the 12th season “will involve some Boston personalities who are affiliated with the show.”

The popular Bravo TV show has featured several local chefs in the past including Tiffani Faison (Sweet Cheeks BBQ), Stephanie Cmar (Stacked Donuts), Kristen Kish (formerly of Menton), and Michael Schlow (Tico). So, we can only assume several or all of them will make an appearance at some point.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about the show and where it will be filming. In the meantime, get your DVR ready.
