So Tom Brady, as expected, is once again enjoying the proceedings at the Kentucky Derby. The 2014 race, which will be the 140th time it’s been run, inevitably features some high profile celebrities, as it always does (oh, and horse racing too). Case in point: Brady just kind of blends in at the back, looking casual (maybe a little goofy?) with his hat and sunglasses. It appears he’s not with Gisele, since (as was noted earlier), the Derby is usually a “traditional guys weekend for Tom and a few of his friends.”

No sign of Wes Welker so far…

Vince Wilfork, with his contract situation seemingly resolved, is there to watch the race with his wife, Bianca, joining Brady as well. Wilfork was asked about the Derby chances of a local Massachusetts horse, Wicked Strong, giving a few thoughts on the outside favorite (as well as the race itself).

“It’s a great story,” Wilfork said of the talented Wicked Strong. “(He’s) got a good shot.”

One of the best parts about the Derby is that there are so many celebrities that some of them just blend in. Take Thurman Thomas, for example, who is standing to Brady’s left in the picture. One of the great NFL running backs of his time, the former Buffalo Bills legend is far from an afterthought in the photo, though he’s just another Hall of Famer. How often does something like that get said?

The main race for the Kentucky Derby will be Saturday evening. Check out our full preview for details.
