He did it again, Boston. Mayor Marty Walsh took to Twitter for the third time to engage directly with Bostonians through the magic of social media. As one might expect, the mayor who once referred to himself as not being very tech-savvy is taking to social media instinctively and improving his prowess every time he logs in.
Mayor Walsh, less than six months into the job, is increasingly confident on social media, having hosted three Twitter chats, a Facebook Q&A and a Reddit AMA. The best part of it all, though, is that each social media engagement he makes with the people of Boston, the more we can see his personality emerging. The quippy banter that emerges from his Twitter handle is not the kind of talk we hear when he’s speaking behind a podium, or into a microphone, or at a neighborhood event.
