Tom Brady is quite the lover of horse races. It seems to bring out a different side of the Patriots quarterback, as he generally lets loose. Everyone knows about his presence at the Kentucky Derby, and how his hat game on point. Apparently, Brady wasn’t quite ready to let the fun end at one race though. He was at the Preakness Stakes earlier on Saturday evening (which produced California Chrome as the winner, following his decisive Derby win). Who did Brady and the usual gang run into? None other than Mike Tyson.

Update: Originally, we believed Wes Welker was in this photo. Turns out, it wasn’t Welker, but Brady’s assistant, Will McDonough.

Selfie time, and it ended up being a fairly amazing picture. The selfie (technically not really a selfie since it includes far more than just one person) shows Tyson, Brady, and even Texas Tech football coach Kliff Kingsbury (seen in the back). What most people don’t actually know is that Kingsbury, like Brady, was once a Patriots sixth round draft pick, though their careers have gone in slightly different directions.

The picture came from Tyson’s twitter account, and came before the race took place.

California Chrome hurtled to a clearcut victory, roughly repeating his tactics at the Kentucky Derby. Though challenged more at the wire, it still was a race never much in doubt. With a field of only ten horses, the odds favored the Derby champion from the start. Yet his win vindicated the Vegas odds, and California Chrome will now try and succeed where a dozen other horses have failed: to win the Triple Crown.
