Happy Pride Week, Boston! This week not only marks the official celebration of the entire LGBT community but also the celebration of Boston’s progressive and diverse culture as a whole. The Boston Pride 2014 theme, “Be Yourself, Change the World,” will be prominent throughout the week long event which lasts until Sunday, June 15.

And fortunately, there’s no shortage of fun Boston Pride Week events happening in the Hub. Below, we’ve rounded up a few highlights from this week’s celebration. Check out the complete Boston Pride Week schedule here.

Boston Pride Retrospective

On Tuesday, June 10, explore this photographic collection by local artist Stephen Baumbach at Back Bay Harry’s. Baumbach titled his collection Pride Retrospective “Find Your Moment,” as noted in the description. The event starts at 5 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m. Admission is free and there will be a cash bar.

Pride Queeraoke

From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. this Thursday, June 12, you can sing your heart out at Pride Queeraoke. According to the Facebook description, the event at Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain will be a “night of foot stompin, booty shakin’, lung burstin’, (and) QUEER adventure.” Better get those vocals ready!

Pride Night at Fenway Park

For a great time, head to Fenway Park this Thursday, June 12 at 7:10 p.m. to show your pride and watch the Red Sox take on the Cleveland Indians. Tickets are now available starting at just $28.

Boston Pride at Night

If you’re looking to celebrate Boston Pride Week with dancing, music and lots of partying, then we recommend joining one of the many events happening with Pride at Night. Boston Pride and Boston’s best LGBT club night promoters have collaborated to produce several Pride at Night events, which you can find here.

Boston Dyke March

This Friday, June 13, head to the Boston Common Gazebo at 6 p.m. to join the Boston Dyke March. The grassroots movement will bring together thousands of “dykes, lesbians, bisexuals, queers, genderqueers, transwomen, transmen, intersexuals, and allies marching for political and cultural change,” according to the event description. Boston Pride Parade

Head to the can’t-miss main Boston Pride Week event happening on Saturday, June 14. The parade travels from Copley Square to City Hall Plaza in Boston starting at 11 a.m. Afterward, join the Boston Pride Festival at City Hall Plaza from noon to 6 p.m. For more information on the route and schedule, check here.

Block Parties in Jamaica Plain and Back Bay

What better way to end the week than with a block party – or two? This Sunday, June 15, there will be block parties celebrating the night. The Back Bay Block Party and Jamaica Plain Block Party both starts at noon and lasts until the evening. Both will feature entertainment and food.
