If you’re seeking out the best sushi in Boston, O Ya is the restaurant that comes to mind. Boasting one of the most expensive tasting menus in the country, the restaurant helmed by Tim Cushman, a James Beard Foundation Award winner, specializes in delicacy, and a reservation there is a coveted time slot.

Now, Tim Cushman, along with his wife Nancy Cushman and Matthew Wogan, will be bringing another Boston business to Fenway’s buzzworthy Verb Hotel, which opens today (earlier this year, the O Ya team also opened Roof at Park South in New York City). The upcoming in-house restaurant, Hojoko, is set to open late fall.

Hojoko will be a high-energy izakaya restaurant, which is about all we know for now, as the Cushmans are still finalizing their menus. According to Boston Magazine, construction is currently underway for the space. Its vibe will likely stay in line with that of the Verb Hotel, an “anti-corporate hotel” with a vintage-retro feel and callback to the area’s musical roots.

Stay tuned for more detail as Hojoko nears its opening.
