I don’t think anyone would deny that Somerville’s Assembly Row is on fire at the moment. With a list of restaurants and retail shops growing by the day, this area of town isn’t slowing down one bit. And fortunately for hungry Bostonians, it looks as though we can add yet another upcoming restaurant to the mix.

According to a release, Earls Kitchen and Bar will open on September 12 in Assembly Row. This will be the restaurant’s first location in the Boston area. Currently, Earls Kitchen and Bar has 65 locations in Canada and the U.S. The “upscale-casual” restaurant is known for their “scratch kitchen” and use of local, seasonal ingredients.

The restaurant’s kitchen will be helmed by executive chef Tim Pennington. And diners can expect a menu composed of appetizers, hand-smashed certified Angus burgers, triple A steaks and seasonally grown fresh vegetables as well as breads and desserts baked in-house daily, notes the release.

Specifically, Earls Kitchen and Bar plans to serve up an eclectic mix of dishes including BBQ pork buns, Mediterranean Calamari, salmon, lobster rolls, Jeera Chicken Curry, burgers and more. There will also be plenty of dessert with choices like chocolate hazelnut bars, key lime pie, pumpkin pie and a warm gingerbread cake. Hungry yet?

Craft cocktails, beer and wine will also be available. Earls Kitchen and Bar will be open daily for lunch and dinner at #102 – 698 Assembly Row in Somerville. Diners can expect a weekend brunch menu as well.
