“I’ll have what she’s having.” Each week, we’ll ask local chefs and bartenders what’s trending right now on their menus. Sit back, relax and order wisely!

This fall, Bostonians welcomed Bar Boulud, a French-inspired bistro and wine bar, to the Mandarin Oriental with open arms and big appetites. The newly opened eatery boasts an extensive (and mouthwatering) menu, chock-full of traditional terrines and pâtés, as well as an impressive wine list, and a beautiful, vintage-inspired interior.

And if you plan on checking out Boston’s hottest new restaurant this weekend – or in the future – we’ve got you covered. Bar Boulud’s executive chef, Aaron Chambers, tells us that if you go, the one dish you must try is the Lemon Sole Meuničre.

“There is a complexity to the dish that is unique and balanced,” Chef Chambers explains. “The guest is able to enjoy a taste of Bar Boulud’s signature French-inspired bistro fare, combined with the fresh local seafood of New England. It is the best of both worlds,” he adds.

Here it is, folks…

The Lemon Sole Meuničre (above) costs $31 and is served with cauliflower, lemon, capers, marcona almond, and brown butter.
