Millennium Tower Boston The City Rises From Here from Millennium Partners on Vimeo.

The new Millennium Tower sales office on Franklin Street opened Wednesday. Condo prices have been listed. And the most expensive of lot costs a casual $37.5 million.

The nearly 13,000-square-foot unit will sit on the top floor (60th) of the 625-foot-tall (or 685-foot-tall) residential tower in the heart of downtown Boston – Downtown Crossing. The tower, slated for a summer 2016 opening, will house 442 one-, two-, and three-bedroom condos. The high-rise palace is nearly $37 million more than the least expensive unit in the building – on the market for $850,000.

If someone buys the $37.5 million condo at its listed price, the Boston Globe reports, it would sell for more $2,900 per square foot – $400 more than “the city’s historical peak price of about $2,500 per square foot, real estate specialists say.”
