Mike & Patty’s, a popular sandwich shop located in Boston’s Bay Village, has shuttered and is now asking for help from Boston diners. Owners Ania and Mike have taken to Kickstarter looking for funding “…for a number of upgrades to the space,” reports Boston Restaurant Talk.

According to the restaurant’s Kickstarter page, the owners are looking to raise money for a fire suppression system and various appliance upgrades such as new commercial grade refrigerators, a new slicer and new flooring. The owners state:

“The kitchen space will also be optimized for much more efficient food prep and the customer side layout will be more conducive to allow customers to flow throughout the eatery much quicker.”

On October 21, Mike & Pattys began their 30-day Kickstarter campaign which will last through November 20. So far, the restaurant has raised $610 of their $20k goal but they still have plenty of time (28 days) remaining.

Mike & Patty’s was awarded Best Breakfast Sandwich from Boston Magazine this year and has even been featured on NECN’s TV Diner as well as The Chronicle.
