It’s the spookiest week of the year, Boston, and we’re just as excited for Halloween as you are. Boston October Tech Social — HackerNest tech socials are a prime way for the community to get together and organize a night in their own way, boasting an agenda-free meetup for straight networking and nerding out. Women in Tech: A Story Slam — Join a group of top women representing the Boston tech scene for an evening of storytelling aimed to inspire the next generation of women leaders. Tuesday 10/28

Boston Girl Geek Dinner — Any and all lady techies are invited to attend this Girl Geek Dinner in order to eat, drink and network with other women innovators in the Hub. Discussion of women’s issues surrounding gender and the tech industry will be discussed. With more than 100 attendees already registered, it’ll be a discussion you don’t want to miss. RSVP here.

MassChallenge Awards Ceremony 2014 — Come support the biggest and best of the tech community in Boston as 128 startups showcase their products and the top 26 MassChallenge finalists pitch their companies to more than 1,000 innovators in the audience. District Howl Halloween — The Seaport’s District Hall will be turning into “District Howl” Friday night. This Halloween party will feature live music from Never in Vegas, the season’s obligatory tricks and treats, as well as a $500 cash prize for the best costume. Register here.
