Voters of the Commonwealth have spoken and when it comes to driving, the gas tax will stay put, according to the Associated Press. On election day 2014, voters opted to eliminate gas tax indexing which means it won’t be tied to the rate of inflation.

This is big news for commuters and frequent drivers as the current $0.24 tax on a gallon of gasoline. Voting yes also prohibited the gas tax from being adjusted below 21.5 cents per gallon.
