The Patriots arrived in Indianapolis coming off of the team’s bye week, and also a win over Conference rival, Peyton Manning. Against Manning’s old team, the Colts (with their new franchise quarterback, Andrew Luck), Tom Brady and the Patriots once again found a way to put points on the board. In a shift from their previous offensive outbursts, however, it was the New England ground game which proved the difference, forging a 42-20 win.

Patriots-Colts highlights were basically dominated by unheralded running back Jonas Gray, who scored four huge touchdowns for New England. Despite the presence of players like Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, it was Gray, the bruising running back, who bashed his way into the heart of the box score (though Gronkowski also had a typically unbelievable touchdown).

The heart of the Patriots success was in their ability to both run the ball (where they had 244 yards on the ground), and in the defense’s ability to stop the run (Indianapolis only had 19 yards rushing). Here are all of the game’s best highlights, including Darrelle Revis beginning to return to top form:

On the opening drive, the Patriots running game set the tone mostly through Jonas Gray, and this Julian Edelman end-around:

And Gray, the replacement for injured Stevan Ridley, thundered in for his first touchdown of what would prove an extremely prolific game:

A big turnover for the Patriots occurred when, in the middle of the second quarter and holding a 7-3 lead, New England intercepted Luck. Devin McCourty came up with the pick off of a nice play on the ball from Revis:

Later in the second quarter, Gray scored his second touchdown. Again, it was a beautifully simple, straight ahead rumble:

Jamie Collins continues to be arguably the most prolific playmaker in the Patriots defense, making a tackle here to prevent a third down conversion:

Tom Brady gave the Colts an absolute gift late in the first half, as he struggled for much of the first two quarters:

Luck promptly connected with Hakeem Nicks in the corner of the end zone to make it 14-10 at halftime, and what was still a close game:

Brady and the New England offense figured out their scheme at halftime, and came out with a quick score to Tim Wright:

After another underrated power drive from the Patriots, Gray scored his third touchdown of the game to make it 28-13:

More Jamie Collins playmaking:

A lone second half bright spot for the Colts was former Boston College lineman Anthony Costanzo scoring a touchdown on a play-action catch. The dance was quality:

And the final highlight of the night was arguably the best, with Gronkowski just doing the kind of freakishly athletic things that people have come to expect from him:
