We may have reached peak Super Bowl commercialism. What originated as a fun distraction in between plays has spiraled into a huge spectacle. Now, even Super Bowl ads have their own teasers (which are, in case anyone was confused, just shorter commercials).

And now an even greater focus is being put on the commercials by NBC, this time though, it’s off the television. This year, the cable network has launched a Tumblr in order to house all the Super Bowl ads in one place online, immediately after they air.

In a statement, NBC Sports Group SVP and GM for Digital Media Rick Cordella said:

We recognize that Super Bowl TV ads are must-see content for many viewers, and we’re thrilled to connect our digital audience to the spots in a seamless manner immediately after they air on television. Tumblr is a visually rich, social-friendly platform that is perfect to showcase the Super Bowl TV ads. We are optimistic this experience will be the first step in creating a more robust NBC Sports destination on Tumblr.

If you and your Super Bowl party is tuned into Tumblr, this new feature will ensure that you won’t miss a second of the buzzy commercials that air while everyone is talking. The move is just part of NBC’s greater initiative to make live TV available for streaming online – part of the reason they’re choosing to immediately stream the Super Bowl ads online after they air is because the live stream of the Super Bowl will feature different commercials than the ones shown on TV. And those are, of course, the ones everyone will be talking about on Monday.

The ads will be just one part of NBC’s 11-hour stream of Super Bowl content on its NBC Sports Live Extra website and app, dubbed “Super Stream Sunday.” So basically, if you don’t have a TV or cable provider, don’t worry about missing the big game.

Can’t wait for the commercials? Here are a few of those Super Bowl ad teasers we mentioned before, for Snickers, Skittles, Nationwide and Newcastle (which is attempting to make the biggest Super Bowl ad by joining forces, and finances, with other brands).
