For someone who’s had to do a lot of talking about balls in the past two weeks, the time is ripe for Tom Brady to make a cameo as a potential sperm donor in ‘Ted 2.’

The sequel to Seth MacFarlane’s dirty-talking-teddy comedy stars Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried, who filmed throughout Boston last summer, and it’s scheduled to hit theaters this June. According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources say the film’s first TV ad spot will air as a teaser during the Super Bowl this Sunday, during which – you might be aware – the Patriots will take on the Seahawks.

Tom Brady will appear during the teaser as a potential sperm donor for Ted, who’s apparently attempting to have a baby in the sequel (Ted is the teddy bear, in case you weren’t aware). THR reports that executives considered tweaking the ad for the Super Bowl slot following Deflate Gate, and including a much clearer reference to the deflated balls controversy. In the end, though, it turned out it would take too much animation work for one gag. Bummer. (THR also reports that a Universal source denied this ad change, but let’s just imagine for a second.)

Be sure to look out for the ‘Ted 2’ teaser while you’re watching the Super Bowl this Sunday, and in case you happen to miss Brady’s cameo, NBC will be streaming every commercial immediately after they air on their Tumblr.
