The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch for Boston and all of Suffolk County, in effect Saturday evening into Sunday evening.

Hazardous conditions, including heavy snow, limited visibility and strong winds are expected. Snow accumulations of 8 to 14 inches are expected.

Blizzard conditions are likely to start late Saturday – Valentine’s Day night – and last into Sunday. Heavy snow and wind could make travel during the storm impossible.

Strong winds of 30 mph to 40 mph are expected with gusts upwards of 60 mph possible.

Blizzard conditions are likely along the entire coast of New England. Western Massachusetts and other inland communities are under a winter storm watch.
