Fans of Sweet Cheeks’ Ramen Mondays are in for a treat. The Boston Globe is reporting that Chef Tiffani Faison, owner of Sweet Cheeks, plans to open a Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant this coming July.

The article notes that the restaurant will be called Tiger Mama and will be taking over the now-shuttered Barrio Cantina space at 1363 Boylston Street in Fenway.

The restaurant’s menu is apparently still in “development,” but will feature “fresh, original interpretations of classic dishes like pad Thai,” the Globe notes. And – even better – the new Tiger Mama restaurant will have a Tiki bar in addition to a regular bar.

“It’ll be sexier than Sweet Cheeks,” Faison told the Globe.

Faison, a former Top Chef contestant, opened the popular BBQ restaurant, Sweet Cheeks Q, a few years back. Since then, she’s incorporated Asian flavors into the restaurant’s comfort food options with her weekly Ramen Mondays event.
