Seriously stacked weekend of events ahead, folks. Let's get started.

Friday

Live Music @ American Fresh Beer Garden - Pretty Much All Day - Assembly Row - Somerville Brewing, which makes Slumbrew, which is delicious, hosts this beer garden at Somerville's Assembly Row. If you haven't been, it's worth a visit. Admission is free.

Classics on the Common - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. - Near the Frog Pond - Part of Mayor Walsh's Movie Nights, which to be honest, I didn't know was a thing until right now. Shows begin at dusk. This evening's feature: E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. Admission is free because Mayor Walsh isn't a monster.

Boston Bike Party presents: Boston - 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. - Copley Square - Join the two-wheeled masses for a nine-mile ride around The Hub, from Copley Square over into my hood, Charlestown. Guaranteed good time with good people. Admission is free. Pretty sure you need to supply the ride.

Kumail Nanjiani - 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. - Wilbur Theater - There's a lot more to Nanjiani than his epic roll on HBOs "Silicon Valley." (Not that that isn't impressive as hell, because it is.) Find out what makes him tick, live. Who knows: Maybe he'll make fun of someone in your party. That's always fun. Admission is $27.

Saturday

Bird Watching for Beginners - 7 to 11 a.m. - Cambridge Center for Adult Education - Because everyone knows the American Bittern only shows its face at 7 a.m. on Saturdays. Admission is $75. (I honestly can't fathom why.) BYO ... binoculars?

Savage Games - 7:30 to 10 a.m. - Brooklyn Boulders Somerville - Yep just going to quote this: "Experience a two-hour beatdown inspired by Ninja Warrior, Parkour, Obstacle Racing, and the Brooklyn Boulders Fitness crew. Savage Games at Brooklyn Boulders Somerville is a team-based fitness competition unlike any other. Oh, and did we mention that there's an after party? There's an after party." Admission is $35. Please send me photos if you attend.

Vegan Food Truck Festival - noon to 5 p.m. - Kendall Square - Food trucks will be descending from as far away as New York and Maine (gasp!) for an afternoon of good eats, good beer and NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS. Admission is $5. ($20 if you're a #VIPvegan.)

American Field Pop-Up Market - Saturday, 10 a.m. to Sunday, 6 p.m. - The Innovation & Design Building - Full disclosure: I've come to know Mark Bollman and Ball and Buck quite well over the years. If you like local people crafting awesome shit, from apparel to watches to hatchets, this is a can't-miss celebration of all things Made in America. Food trucks and great beer are always on hand, as well. Dress to impress. (Or don't. Seriously nobody cares.) Admission is free.

Sunday

Somerville Dog Festival - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Trum Field - Yeah, so, there's this: "A big part of this year’s festival will be an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most dogs having their teeth brushed. We will be providing free tooth brushing kits and instructions for people who would like to participate. Any adult dog at the festival is eligible and the attempt will begin at 1 p.m." And that's all I'll say about that. Admission is free.

South End Pollination Celebration! - 2 to 5 p.m. - Peters Park - There will be a Pollinator Parade, a garden talk and tours and a bunch of babies and dogs dressed as bees (I'm guessing). Admission is free. Pollen is forever.
