On Wednesday August 20th, the Bombshells of Boston Media will be raising money & awareness for the Ellie Fund at the 2nd Annual Bombshells Against Cancer.

Join them at MJ O’Connor’s Waterfront for food, craft beer, wine & spirits on the new patio with our special guests! Over the next couple weeks, we will introduce you to each of the Bombshells and share why they are helping out the Ellie Fund.

First up is BostInno’s own Hilary Milnes

 1. How does it feel to be considered a Bombshell? It feels awesome! Any time I’m feeling down or having a bad day, I just look in the mirror and tell myself, “Remember: You are a Bombshell.” It never fails to cheer me up.

2.  How does a Bombshell like yourself typically spend her day? If it’s a workday, I spend it in front of my computer. It’s glamorous: I stalk Twitter, research and work on articles, and take BuzzFeed quizzes. Today, for instance, I learned I’m a Boss Bitch after taking the “What Kind of Bitch Are You?” quiz. After work, I’ll grab drinks with friends or coworkers, or I’ll go to a fitness class if someone coerced me into doing so. On the weekends, I make plans to knock items off my to-do list and take advantage of the summer weather and wonderful city we live in, and then I’ll spend the day inside, hungover.

3.  Why did you decide to join the other Bombshells and help out the Ellie Fund? This is my second year as a Bombshell, and I’m super excited and honored to be participating again! There’s nothing more empowering than joining an amazing group of hardworking, kick ass women who are taking charge for a good cause. It’s even better when everyone’s wearing pink. I’m always happy to support the Ellie Fund in any way I can, so saying yes was a no brainer. Now bring on the champagne!

4.  Who is your favorite Bombshell of all time and why? Lucille Ball. Not only was she a hilarious actress who paved the way for female comedians, but she was also a fellow redhead. What a woman.
