Christmas may not have come yet, but it’s time to start thinking about New Year’s Eve – that is, if you haven’t already. The big night is a little over a week away, and unless you want to spend another year drinking cheap champagne and falling asleep on the couch before midnight, it’s time to start planning.

Everyone has their opinion on New Year’s Eve, so we rounded up plenty of parties fitting for everyone’s ball-dropping style. Be warned: Some of these parties are selling out as we speak, so start making plans and buying tickets – then, you can get back to worrying about holiday travels, gift exchanges and New Year resolutions.

Glow 2014 at District Hall – 9 p.m. – Partake in the first ever New Year’s Eve party at District Hall in the Seaport. Cash bar and food will be available, and the restaurant is just steps away from the Boston Harbor, where the city’s fireworks will go off at midnight. Tickets are $25, or for $40, you’ll get tickets to both Glow at District Hall and Laugh Boston’s 7:30 p.m. show (which are $25 alone).

New Year’s Eve Bash to Benefit Team IMPACT at Skybokx 109 – 7 p.m. – All ages and free, this New Year’s Eve party in Natick will feature a DJ, hors d’oeuvres, raffle tickets and a complimentary champagne toast. The party will benefit Team IMPACT, a Boston-based nonprofit that helps kids facing life-threatening illness.

Rattle in the New Year at the Rattlesnake – 10 p.m.– Spend New Year’s Eve at Poe’s at the Rattlesnake and rattle in the New Year with DJ Mahansome, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $10 in advance or $25 at the door.

Emerald NYE 2014 at Emerald Ultra Lounge – 8 p.m. – Ring in the New Year in a big way at Emerald Lounge in the Revere Hotel, with two DJs and party favors. Table and hotel packages available; limited tickets left for $100.

Studio 57 at the Revere Hotel – 9 p.m. – Head to Space 57 at the Revere Hotel for New Year’s Eve with a champagne toast, surprise performances and an open dancefloor. VIP packages available; individual tickets are $75, price goes up tomorrow.

New Year’s Eve Wine Dinner & Cocktail Party at Restaurant dante – 7:30 p.m. – Dinner and a party will be served at Restaurant dante, with a five-course Italian-inspired meal with expert wine pairings, followed by a NYE party with a champagne toast and a DJ, starting at 11:30 p.m. Dinner reservations are $125 per person; the cocktail party is open to the public.

New Year’s Eve 1980s Time Warp at Beat Hotel – 9 p.m. – Beat Hotel in Harvard Square is hosting a New Year’s Eve party that will take you back in time to the 1980s, complete with a dance party, variety show and 80s cover band Safety. Tickets are $115 with the food buffet and $75 without.

New Year’s Eve at Frozen Fenway – 5 to 10 p.m. – This family-friendly NYE event is a first for Fenway Park, and, presented by Citibank, will feature sledding and skating, photo ops with the World Series trophy and on-field access. Tickets are $40.

Extreme Cocktail Party at Bokx 109 American Prime – 8 p.m. – Don’t feel like heading into Boston? Bokx 109 in Newton is hosting an “extreme” cocktail party featuring a raw bar, passed apps, a sparkling champagne toast and live entertainment from the Neil McCarthy Problem Band. Tickets are $75.

New Year’s Eve at Improv Asylum – 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. – Ring in the New Year with lots of laughs at the Improv Asylum and celebrate your last night of bad decision making. Two shows at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., tickets are $25.

Big Belly NYE Bash – 6 p.m. – Join the crew at Belly Wine Bar for a night of charcuterie, raw bar, dancing to DJ Just Joan, box wine, bubbles and ball-dropping fun. Tickets are $70 before 7 p.m. and $85 after 9 p.m.

Ring in the New Year at MET Back Bay – 10 p.m. – Hosted by KISS 108’s Rich DiMare, ring in the New Year at MET Back Bay with 4 Top Shelf drink tickets, snacks and treats, party favors, champagne toast and dancing. Tickets are $65.

Moksa’s Three-Tiered New Year’s Eve Blowout – 8 p.m. – Presented by Moksa Restaurant and Naga Nightclub, this New Year’s Eve blowout features multiple DJs, a rum bar, unlimited sushi and apps, prizes and giveaways and a midnight sake shot. Tickets are $65, or for $125, you can get admission into Moksa’s party and Naga Nightclub.

The Beehive’s Discotheque Burlesque New Year’s Eve – 9 p.m. – The Beehive’s 7th annual New Year’s Eve bash is discotheque burlesque themed with Parisian performances and eccentric fun. Tickets are $125 with the food buffet or $85 without.

Sky-High New Year’s Eve at Legal Harborside – 10 p.m. – Enjoy a bird’s eye view of First Night festivities and the Boston Harbor Fireworks at Legal Harborside’s NYE Party in the Seaport. There will be food, a live DJ and a midnight toast. Tickets are $65.
