Opower might be busy preparing for its reported IPO, but they were still gracious enough to invite us inside and show us their Arlington office digs.

Located steps from the Court House metro stop in Arlington, the energy efficiency startup takes up three floors of a high rise. From the vantage of the 8th floor, you have great views into Georgetown and Northwest. The National Cathedral is easily recognizable.

The space is massive, housing a couple hundred of Opower’s team members. This is just one of the company’s offices, with others in San Fran, the UK, Tokyo and Singapore.

It’s also a fun environment. There’s great kitchens stocked with snacks, cutting-edge technology so that team members can easily and efficiently communicate with each other from around the world and it’s cool if you bring your pooch in from home.

Opower definitely has one of the bigger, nicer offices in the D.C. tech scene. But that makes sense – they are one of the area’s biggest success stories in recent time.
