The X Games have kicked off today and there’s plenty of action for everyone to catch on our 2013 Munich X Games live stream. Coverage is taking place on ESPN and its affiliate sporting networks. Today, extremists will compete in the skateboarding big air challenge, men and women enduro x finals, and the moto x freestyle.

The X Games rose to prominence in 1995 after the inaugural games were held in Rhode Island by ESPN. Similar to the Olympics, competitors vie for gold, silver, and bronze medals though they also have the added incentive of competing for prize money.
The competition often features new tricks by headliner extreme athletes like Tony Hawk and his famed 900 in skateboarding, Travis Pastrana and his signature double backflip in freestyle motocross, Heath Frisby and his first ever front flip on a snowmobile, and Torstein Horgmo and his first landed triple flip on a snowboard. Concurrent with competition is the “X Fest” sports and music festival, which offers live music, athlete autograph sessions and interactive elements.
