With all of the recent leaked pics of Apple’s supposed low-cost iPhone, other handset leaks have flown silently under the radar. Today, though, two photos have surfaced of the HTC One Mini, the follow up to HTC’s flagship One smartphone, out in the wild and not on the assembly line as is the case with Apple’s affordable device. The One Mini is thought to be consumer available sometime this fall.

The One Mini will be taking cues in robustness from its big brother and allegedly sport a 4.3-inch 720p display, run on a dual-core processor, feature 2GB of RAM, offer 16GB of internal storage space, and boast a 4mp camera complete with UltraPixel technology. Sources also suggest the One Mini will use the 4.2.2 version of Android Jelly Bean.

The UltraPixel technology will be a big draw for amateur photographers using the One Mini as this HTC innovation combines a greater capture of photons with an autofocus lens and image stabilization for the clearest pictures even in low-light situations.

HTC is attempting to turn its company direction in a complete 180 and burgeon its reputation after severe marketing blunders, delayed releases, and executive departures have decreased the Taiwanese company’s market share and stock prices despite the viability of its HTC One. The One has been placed my many tech junkies and phone pundits in the upper-echelon of the handset food chain but internal issues have left the company flailing. They recently signed Robert Downey Jr. to a multi-year contract worth $12 million as part of the company’s resurgence.

To in perspective how dismal HTC sales have been as of late, consider that rival electronics giant Samsung more than doubled HTC’s output by shipping 10 million handsets in a shorter time span than it took HTC to sell 5 million.

What do you all think about the HTC One Mini? In tandem with the HTC One, will it be able to help bolster HTC smartphone sales and give it a stronger foothold in the smartphone market?
