Sharapova from the early stages of Wimbledon and will be riding a train of momentum heading into the championship match. Her win over Sharapova skyrocketed her into the forefront of not only the tennis realm, but in the media as well so it’ll be interesting to see if the spotlight has any affect on the 23-year old Germany native’s concentration.

This is Bartoli’s second Wimbledon appearance, her first coming back in 2007. There she similarly made it to the finals, only to be beaten handily by Venus Williams. She’ll be no pushover today, though, as she has a respectable major Grand Slam event resume, reaching the quarterfinals in the U.S Open and Australian Open last year and in 2009, respectively, as well as the semifinals of the French Open in 2011. Conversely, this is the first time Lisicki was able to crack the quarterfinals of any Grand Slam.

The men’s singles final will take place tomorrow at 9am ET in a classic 1 vs. 2 matchup. No. 1 Novak Djokovic takes on no. 2 Andy Murray in what is sure to be a hard-fought battle between the two. Murray will be looking to add to his 2012 U.S. Open title and Olympic gold medal against Djokovic, of Serbia, who took Wimbledon back in 2011. The only Grand Slam evading Djokovic is the French Open, a tournament at which Rafael Nadal most notably thrives, though he did reach the final round this year.
