Web optimization startup Yottaa announced Wednesday morning that it has secured a $16 million Series C, just over a year after raising $9 million in Series B. The new round comes from Intel Capital.

“Yottaa sits at the convergence of two of the biggest trends in technology today: mobile and cloud,” said Dharmesh Thakker, investment director at Intel Capital. “We’re excited to support Yottaa in delivering the speed, scale and security demanded by the mobile revolution.”

Yottaa’s technology allows customers to monitor performance on web and mobile applications, and to easily optimize that performance for speed and security. Founded in 2009 and based in Cambridge, Yottaa has raised $30 million in total, with other investors including Stata Venture and General Catalyst.

In a release, Yottaa highlighted its success in bringing enterprise customers on board, claiming its customers include G20 government sites, Fortune 500 companies, and more, including PC Mall, Bayer, H&R Block, Fossil, HubSpot and Logitech.
