Rolling Stone debuted the cover of its August issue Tuesday night, and the backlash was almost immediate. Many Boston-area grocery and convenience store chains have declared their opposition to the glamorous, rockstar depiction of alleged Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. In response, they will not carry the August issue out of respect to the victims, their families, first responders and all those affected by the tragic events of April 15.

Here’s a list of the stores boycotting Rolling Stone‘s August issue. We will continue to update as more information becomes available.

Tedeschi Food Shops

“Tedeschi Food Shops supports the need to share the news with everyone, but cannot support actions that serve to glorify the evil actions of anyone,” the company posted on its Facebook page. “With that being said, we will not be carrying this issue of Rolling Stone. Music and terrorism don’t mix!”

CVS/pharmacy

From its Facebook page: “CVS/pharmacy has decided not to sell the current issue of Rolling Stone featuring a cover photo of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect. As a company with deep roots in New England and a strong presence in Boston, we believe this is the right decision out of respect for the victims of the attack and their loved ones.”

Roche Bros.

Roche Bros. tweeted this statement: “When we learned of the cover for the current issue of Rolling Stone, we chose not to offer that product for sale in our stores. Thank you.”

Shaw’s/Star Market

According to WHDH’s Tyler Dumont, Shaw’s will not carry the issue.

Walgreen’s

Walgreen’s tweeted this statement: “Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Walgreens will not be selling this issue of Rolling Stone magazine.”

Stop & Shop

Stop & Shop has joined the boycott as well, according to CBS Boston.

Cumberland Farms

Cumberland Farms has used this uniform response to those voicing their concerns on Twitter: “Thanks for reaching out: our stores were instructed to remove the issue of Rolling Stone from all locations this morning.”

Foodie’s Market

Foodie’s released this statement on their Facebook page: “We will not be displaying this Friday’s Rolling Stone Magazine on the shelves of any Foodie’s Market out of respect for the city of Boston.”
