The H&M on Newbury Street has two levels and tons of both trendy and basic items for men and women – so many items, in fact, that it’s best to carve out an hour or so of the day in order to properly peruse through the abundance of clothing, while picking out the treasures and discarding the duds. It’s probably best to set apart even more time if you plan to try things on, because those fitting room lines and item limits will get you.

As if a trip to Boston’s behemoth H&M wasn’t already overwhelming enough, Women’s Wear Daily announced earlier that 30,000 square feet is to be added to the store – that’s 30,000 more square feet of affordable fashion at the ready for you to sift through on a Saturday afternoon. Hopefully they add some more fitting rooms, as well.

The announcement of the construction comes with the launch of the H&M Home collection, as well as their e-commerce platform, which finally allows us to shop online for their latest styles – great news for when afternoon boredom strikes; bad news for my bank account.

While the forthcoming remodeled H&M plans to include a home goods section, that department of the store isn’t going to take up all of the new square footage. Details on the store’s plans and opening dates are still yet to be released, so in the meantime, here’s a glimpse at what you can find online at H&M (all under $50, of course). Happy virtual shopping!
